Absolutely awesome service from start to finish! David Allan was an absolute legend of an instructor. I came in very nervous but by the end of the day, I was driving a truck no problem at all. From the tips and tricks that make driving a very large vehicle like you’re handling a car, to his overall personality. 10/10! Celine was also very good making the booking seamless and easy. Kudos to TDT and all staff. Thank you very much!

recently completed my HR licence training with TDT Training and had a great experience from start to finish. A special mention to Ron, the instructor, who was extremely knowledgeable, patient and professional throughout the training. He explained everything clearly, took the time to answer questions and made sure I understood what I was doing before moving on. His experience and teaching style made the training much easier and more enjoyable. I feel much more confident in my driving skills and knowledge after completing the course. I would definitely recommend TDT Training to anyone looking to obtain their HR licence, and especially recommend Ron as an instructor. Thanks to Ron and the team at TDT Training for a great experience.

Completed HR training and test with Ron H. During training Ron was clear and articulate with instruction, answered questions simply and provided specific feedback about performance. The training period provided me with lots of time behind the wheel, so I could complete the test with confidence. Admin team were also great with communication.

Unique Student Identifier

Unique Student Identifier (USI)

What is a Unique Student Identifier?

From 1 January 2015, it is a federal government requirement that every student will need a Unique Student Identifier (USI) to obtain their Statement of Attainment or qualification from their Registered Training Organisation (RTO) when undertaking nationally recognised study and training in Australia.

This unique number is required for any student who has already started a nationally recognised course in Australia, and will continue studying after 1 January 2015. A USI gives students access to an online USI account, which will keep all of their training records together in one location.

How Do I Get a USI?

To get started, students need to log into the USI website and follow the instructions; ensure a form of ID is ready.

Examples of acceptable forms of ID:

What If I Have a Question

For further assistance please call the USI hotline on 1300 857 536 or send request via USI website’s Contact Us section.

Additionally, you can contact closest TDT Training Australia campus to discuss this with a TDT staff.

What do I do with my USI now that I have it?

Please ensure the details you provide to TDT Training Australia (full name and date of birth) match the details you entered when registering your USI.

FAQ Section

Please ensure the details you provide to TDT Training Australia (full name and date of birth) match the details you entered when registering your USI.

Why do I need a USI

A Unique Student Identifier (USI) is an individual education identifier that remains with you for life. If you are undertaking either nationally recognised training, or a higher education qualification, you need a USI in order to receive commonwealth financial assistance, as well as to obtain your qualification or statement of attainment.

What are the benefits of having a USI?

The benefits of having a USI are that students can get easy access to a complete record of VET achievements from a single, secure and password protected online source. Students can also easily provide proof of their VET records to employers or other training organisations.

How do I have my recently completed qualification added to my transcript

To have your recently completed qualification added to a USI transcript, you will need to speak with the relevant training provider. They can update your details to reflect your new level of training. Keep in mind that the USI transcript information depends on the timing of RTO reporting and that your qualification will not appear immediately upon completion. If you have any questions about this process, feel free to get in touch with Transport Driver Training (TDT).
