Absolutely awesome service from start to finish! David Allan was an absolute legend of an instructor. I came in very nervous but by the end of the day, I was driving a truck no problem at all. From the tips and tricks that make driving a very large vehicle like you’re handling a car, to his overall personality. 10/10! Celine was also very good making the booking seamless and easy. recently completed my HR licence training with TDT Training and had a great experience from start to finish. A special mention to Ron, the instructor, who was extremely knowledgeable, patient and professional throughout the training. Completed HR training and test with Ron H. During training Ron was clear and articulate with instruction, answered questions simply and provided specific feedback about performance. Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL):

RPL facilitates the progression of candidates through Qualifications by giving advanced standing for learning outcomes they already have achieved or competency they can demonstrate as already being held.
RPL is appropriate for candidates who have previously attained skills and knowledge and who, when enrolling in Qualifications, seek to shorten the normal duration of their training and either continue or commence working.
RPL is offered to all candidates during the Pre-Enrolment process.

Course Overview

This unit involves the skills and knowledge required to secure cargo, in accordance with procedures and regulatory requirements, as part of work activities within industry.

Theory (3 hours) and workplace simulation and practical observation (5 hours)

*A learner must have some prior skills and knowledge of securing goods and cargo. If not, then the learner is expected to engage in unsupervised self-study for about 3 hours per day for 4 days prior to attempting the assessments.

What Will You Learn in This Course?

By completing this course, learners will be able to:
- Secure cargo, containers, and equipment in line with safety procedures and regulations.
- Lash, unlash, and protect cargo from weather damage.
- Safely load and unload goods/cargo using correct manual handling techniques.
- Apply industry documentation and reporting requirements.
Work effectively in a team environment, following WHS procedures.

Individual Unit of competency: $495 per student

Note: A minimum of 8 and a maximum of 10 students per course.

Training & Education Pathways: After achieving this unit of competency students may undertake a range of associated construction, resources, logistics and warehousing units and qualifications.

Employment Pathways: After achieving this unit of competency students may seek employment in warehousing, manufacturing, construction, resources and transport industries.
