This qualification reflects the role of individuals who apply knowledge, practical skills and experience in leadership and management across a range of organisations and industries. Students develop capabilities in communication, operational planning, workplace relationships, team effectiveness, critical thinking, emotional intelligence and business risk.

Graduates may consider progressing to an Advanced Diploma, another relevant higher-level VET qualification or higher education, subject to the entry and credit requirements of the receiving institution.
Job outcomes depend on the student’s previous experience, employer requirements and labour-market conditions. This course does not guarantee employment, a visa, permanent residency, a particular salary or admission to another provider.

All listed units must be successfully completed for the qualification to be issued. A Statement of Attainment may be issued for units successfully completed where the full qualification is not achieved.
The course is delivered face-to-face in the classroom at the Hallam campus, supported by structured self-study. It runs over 4 × 12 weeks, with 4 weeks of scheduled holiday. As a full-time student you take part in scheduled classes and are also expected to undertake structured independent study each week outside class hours — independent study is a required part of the course, not optional. Learning includes simulated workplace activities. There is no work placement.
Each task is marked Satisfactory or Not Satisfactory; each unit is Competent or Not Yet Competent. The qualification is issued once competency is achieved in all required units.

Meeting the published minimum requirements does not automatically guarantee an offer. TDT may request additional evidence or undertake further assessment to determine whether the course is suitable for the applicant.
You must maintain at least 80% attendance. Attendance is recorded at the beginning and end of each class. TDT continuously monitors academic progress and provides staged intervention and support if your attendance or progress is at risk. You can always access TDT’s complaints and appeals processes.
International students must maintain satisfactory course progress and comply with applicable attendance and visa requirements. Refer to the International Student Handbook and your Student Agreement for complete details.
Where your needs are best met by an external provider, TDT can refer you. Costs charged by external services remain your responsibility. TDT does not provide health or migration advice.

Recognition of equivalent units you have already completed through an Australian nationally recognised training provider. No charge.
Assessment of existing skills and knowledge gained through employment, education and life experience. Application $250; assessment $500 per unit.
Approved credit may reduce the number of units required, reduce course duration, affect course fees and require an updated Confirmation of Enrolment. You can request Credit Transfer or RPL on the application form.
You must bring your own laptop, with Microsoft Office 365 or equivalent installed. Your device must meet TDT’s minimum specifications. Laptop and software costs are not included in tuition fees.
Combined enrolment and course charges total AUD $12,000. Laptop and software are not included. Confirm timing of the first instalment before publishing.

Overseas Student Health Cover is generally required for Student visa holders and must cover your applicable period of stay. You are responsible for arranging and maintaining valid cover before you arrive and for the whole of your stay. Dependants may also require cover. Coverage and exclusions vary between insurers. TDT does not provide health or migration advice.

The Student visa (subclass 500) is generally the relevant visa for international study. TDT issues a Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE) only after the applicable admissions and payment steps are completed. You are responsible for obtaining and maintaining the correct visa and complying with all visa conditions.
TDT Training Australia does not provide migration advice. Visa requirements and conditions — including any limit on working hours — can change. Check your visa grant notice and current Department of Home Affairs information, or obtain advice from a registered migration agent or Australian legal practitioner, before undertaking employment.

Please allow sufficient time for visa processing when selecting an intake date. Applications for international students must be submitted at least 6 to 8 weeks prior to the intake date to allow for pre-enrolment suitability assessment, issuance of a Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE) via PRISMS, arrangement of Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC), and student visa lodgement. Late applications may not be processed in time for the selected intake and may be offered the next available date.
School qualifications, other relevant qualifications, proof of age, English results and passport must be provided as certified copies.
