How much does it cost to get a forklift licence in Victoria?

TDT Training Australia forklift licences cost from $495. Our full course lasts two days and takes 16 hours to complete. We provide a high level of teaching and support to all students so you can get the forklift certification you need.

Where are the training courses held?

You can get training for a forklift licence in Melbourne and across Victoria. Our training locations include Hallam, Bendigo, Sale, Ballarat and Sunshine. How long does a forklift licence last in Victoria?

A Victorian forklift licence will remain valid for 5 years (after which a forklift renewal to WorkSafe will need to be paid). At TDT Training Australia, we will teach you the skills to safely and efficiently operate a forklift. We offer forklift courses at affordable prices and we can also help if you’re looking for additional training or refresher training.

Why is it a 2-day course?

Our courses are run over two days so that we can teach all of the necessary skills to students. You can expect a combination of theory and practical learning, along with assessments that test your ability to safely operate a forklift.

Who is this course designed for?

The forklift training courses that we run are designed for both beginners and operators with years of experience. With a certification from us, you will be able to find work across a range of different sites including warehouses, factories and storage facilities.

My licence has expired? Do I need to do the whole course?

If your licence has expired, please check with WorkSafe Victoria prior. If Worksafe does not renew your licence, you will have to sit a complete 2 day course again to re-obtain your licence.

Are there any weekend forklift courses available?

The forklift courses are offered at various times to suit your schedule. Please refer to our online schedule or contact us for specific times and dates.

Do I need to study in preparation for the forklift course?

While not mandatory, studying the provided materials prior to the course will be beneficial. We’ll provide you with all the necessary resources upon enrolment.

I have no experience driving a forklift, can I do the course?

Absolutely! Our course caters to both beginners and experienced operators. We provide comprehensive training that covers all you need to know.

Will there be breaks given during the course?

Yes, regular breaks are provided throughout the course to ensure comfort and focus.

When will I receive my licence after training?

Upon successful completion of the course and assessment, you’ll be awarded a Statement of Attainment and Notice of Assessment, allowing you to apply for your WorkSafe Forklift Licence.

What happens if I don’t pass the course?

If you don’t pass the initial assessment, re-assessment opportunities are available. We’ll work with you to ensure you understand the material and can succeed.

How many people are in each course?

Our forklift courses are capped at a maximum of 6 students.

Is there a size restriction on your Forklift Licence?

Our Forklift Licence training covers the general requirements for operating a forklift. Any specific size or weight restrictions will be discussed during the training as per the relevant regulations.
