A big thank you to Tran at TDT Training for helping me with my HR truck licence. Getting behind the wheel of a heavy rigid truck can be pretty daunting, but Tran’s calm approach, clear explanations and practical advice made a real difference to my confidence. He was patient, approachable and happy to go over things until they clicked, with a strong focus on safe driving and good habits. I really appreciated having someone who could put me at ease while still keeping me focused on what I needed to learn. Highly recommend Tran and TDT Training to anyone looking to get their truck licence. Thanks again, Tran!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Highly Recommend David at TDT Sunshine! I booked my HR licence test through TDT Sunshine, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. Before this, I had never driven a truck, so I was quite nervous about the test. However, David guided me through everything in a very professional, patient, and easy-to-understand way. His teaching and guidance gave me the confidence and skills I needed to pass my HR test on the very first attempt. He explained everything clearly, helped me understand the truck properly, and made sure I felt prepared before the test. David is an excellent instructor who genuinely cares about his students’ success. I’m really thankful for his support and the way he taught me throughout the process. If you’re planning to get your HR licence at TDT Sunshine, I highly recommend booking with David. In my opinion, he is one of the best instructors there. If you want professional guidance and the confidence to pass your test, David is the person to go to! Thank you, David, for your excellent teaching and support!

Unique Student Identifier

Unique Student Identifier (USI)

What is a Unique Student Identifier?

From 1 January 2015, it is a federal government requirement that every student will need a Unique Student Identifier (USI) to obtain their Statement of Attainment or qualification from their Registered Training Organisation (RTO) when undertaking nationally recognised study and training in Australia.

This unique number is required for any student who has already started a nationally recognised course in Australia, and will continue studying after 1 January 2015. A USI gives students access to an online USI account, which will keep all of their training records together in one location.

How Do I Get a USI?

To get started, students need to log into the USI website and follow the instructions; ensure a form of ID is ready.

Examples of acceptable forms of ID:

What If I Have a Question

For further assistance please call the USI hotline on 1300 857 536 or send request via USI website’s Contact Us section.

Additionally, you can contact closest TDT Training Australia campus to discuss this with a TDT staff.

What do I do with my USI now that I have it?

Please ensure the details you provide to TDT Training Australia (full name and date of birth) match the details you entered when registering your USI.

FAQ Section

Please ensure the details you provide to TDT Training Australia (full name and date of birth) match the details you entered when registering your USI.

Why do I need a USI

A Unique Student Identifier (USI) is an individual education identifier that remains with you for life. If you are undertaking either nationally recognised training, or a higher education qualification, you need a USI in order to receive commonwealth financial assistance, as well as to obtain your qualification or statement of attainment.

What are the benefits of having a USI?

The benefits of having a USI are that students can get easy access to a complete record of VET achievements from a single, secure and password protected online source. Students can also easily provide proof of their VET records to employers or other training organisations.

How do I have my recently completed qualification added to my transcript

To have your recently completed qualification added to a USI transcript, you will need to speak with the relevant training provider. They can update your details to reflect your new level of training. Keep in mind that the USI transcript information depends on the timing of RTO reporting and that your qualification will not appear immediately upon completion. If you have any questions about this process, feel free to get in touch with Transport Driver Training (TDT).
