SLP training is essential for safety compliance across sectors such as petroleum, logistics, chemical transport, mining, and waste management.

What is the Safe Load Pass (SLP)?

Who is eligible to do the SLP course?

How is this different from a Dangerous Goods Licence?

An SLP focuses specifically on terminal access and bulk fuel loading procedures, while a DG Licence covers the safe transport of hazardous goods more broadly.

What does the course involve?

A 3.5-hour theory session covering fuel terminal safety, loading procedures, static electricity control, and emergency protocols, followed by an online assessment.

How do I get my SLP ID card?

After completing training and passing the online assessment, your SLP ID card will be mailed to your nominated address within 12 business days.

How long is the SLP card valid for?

2 years. You'll need to renew it before it expires. If your card is expired for more than 90 days, you must complete the training again.

Is this training available for regional drivers?

Yes, the training can be delivered via video conferencing to accommodate regional and remote learners.

Where do I book the terminal assessment?

Learners must book terminal assessments independently via the SLP website.
