We are Hiring Across the Following Areas:

  • Heavy Vehicle Licensing (MR, HR, HC, MC)- Ideally HC & MC
  • Forklift & High-Risk Work Licenses (LF, LO, EWP, etc.)
  • Dangerous Goods Trainer & Assessors
  • Basic Fatigue Management (BFM)
  • First Aid & CPR Trainer
  • Chain of Responsibility (CoR)

About the Roles

As a Trainer & Assessor at TDT, you’ll play a vital role in delivering industry-leading training programs and preparing learners for real-world success. You’ll facilitate both classroom and practical sessions while ensuring full compliance with VicRoads, ASQA, and WorkSafe accredited-licensing standards. This is a flexible opportunity to express your interest in current or future roles with TDT Training!

What You’ll Do

  • Deliver and assess accredited courses with professionalism and integrity.
  • Conduct both theoretical and practical training sessions (including on-road test).
  • Maintain accurate training and assessment documentation.
  • Support learner progression through constructive feedback.
  • Uphold safety, compliance, and quality standards.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement, validation, and audits.

Who We’re Looking For

Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (TAE40116 or equivalent) is required for all the listed roles across the various subject matter.

Specific Subject Matter Requirements: –

  1. Heavy Vehicle Licensing (ideally non-synchromesh HR, HC & MC)

Qualification: –

  • Heavy Vehicle Driver Licence up to non-synchromesh HR/HC/MC

Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years’ industry driving experience in heavy vehicles.
  • Previous training/assessing experience (desirable).
  1. Forklift & High-Risk Work Licences (LO, LF, EWP, etc.)

Qualification: –

  • High Risk Work (HRW) Licences (s) (e.g., Ideally LO or LF & EWP).

Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years’ industry driving experience in HRW
  • Previous training/assessing experience (desirable).
  1. Dangerous Goods Trainer & Assessor

Qualification: –

  • Dangerous Goods Licence/Accreditation

Experience:

  • Minimum 2 – 5 years’ industry experience handling or transporting dangerous goods.
  • Previous training/assessing experience (desirable).
  1. Basic Fatigue Management (BFM)

Qualification: –

  • Accredited in Basic Fatigue Management under NHVAS (National Heavy Vehicle Accreditation Scheme)).

Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years’ industry experience in fatigue management or heavy Vehicle operations
  • Previous training/assessing experience (desirable).
  1. Chain of Responsibility (CoR)

Qualification: –

  • Recognised accreditation or evidence of competency in CoR

Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years’ industry experience in transport/logistics compliance or safety
  • Previous training/assessing experience (desirable).
  1. First Aid & CPR Trainer

Qualification: –

  • Current First Aid & CPR Trainer accreditation (HLTAID011-Provide First Aid, HLTAID009-Provide CPR, or equivalent)

Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years’ industry experience in health, safety, or training context.
  • Previous first aid training delivery experience (desirable).

Successful applicants will bring strong communication skills, adaptability, and a learner-focused mindset. A sound knowledge of RTO compliance, WHS standards, and best practice training methods is essential. Trainers who have multiple qualifications across the listed areas will be highly regarded and may be offered a more competitive salary package.
