New fines Victoria sanctions may affect your ability to apply for and renew your heavy vehicle licence

A new administrative body called Fines Victoria is being introduced as part of the Fines Reform Act 2014 commencing on 31 December 2017.
As a result, VicRoads will apply licence, registration and number plates sanction as directed by Fines Victoria.
Individuals that are currently subject to a Fines Victoria Sanction risk having their test results not recognised by VicRoads.
It is recommended that applicants confirm their licence currency on the date of their vehicle assessment by visiting https://www.vicroads.vic.gov.au/online-services/sign-up-for-a-vicroads-online-account and opening a ‘MyVicRoads’ account or by calling VicRoads on 13 11 71.
