Course Overview

This qualification reflects the role of individuals in a variety of Business Services job roles. These individuals may have supervisory performance accountabilities.
Individuals in these roles carry out a mix of specialist and moderately complex administrative or operational tasks that require self-development skills. They use well-developed skills and a broad knowledge base to apply solutions to a defined range of unpredictable problems and analyse information from a variety of sources. They may provide leadership and guidance to others with some limited responsibility for the output of others.

Entry requirements

You must be either a Permanent Resident or an Australian Citizen to enrol in this qualification.

Complete a Pre-Training Review:
TDT determines the support needs of individual learners and provides access to the educational and support services necessary for the individual learner to meet the requirements of the training product as specified in training package. The process of Pre-Training Review is explained to every learner prior to enrolment and commencement of training.

Sit for an LLN (Language, Literacy & Numeracy) test:
You must clear TDT’s LLN test prior to enrolment.
Note: LLN assessment is utilised to assess if a student has an ability to complete the training at the required AQF level and for TDT to assess the level of support required in this regard in order to provide the student with a reasonable opportunity to complete the course. LLN assessment takes place during the pre-training review, where learner characteristics are reviewed and assessed, support needs are determined and plans are put into place to achieve the best outcome for the student.

Academic requirements:
Australian year 12 (VCE) or equivalent

Minimum age:
18 years at the time of course commencement

USI (Unique Student Identifier):
You must provide a verified USI at the time of enrolment without which AQF documents (Statement of Attainment, Academic Transcript and Testamur) will not be issued.

Digital Literacy requirement:
Considering the type of tasks a student will be required to complete during the course and whether or not the student has the required knowledge to complete those tasks, all students enrolling in online courses offered by TDT must:

  • have a reliable computer with access to internet
  • have basic computer skills and a proven ability to use MS office suite or equivalent.
Assessment Methods

The assessment methods include but are not limited to:

  • Knowledge test (Written questions)
  • Project work (Case study, role play & project report)
Course Duration

BSB40120 Certificate IV in Business: 6 months to 12 months (flexible online learning)

Note: The course duration may vary based on prior skills and knowledge of a learner. TDT conducts a Pre-Training Review prior to enrolment to determine the total volume of learning considering learner characteristics, to identify any support that individual learners may need and to provide access to required support throughout their training.

If a student is unable to complete the course during the periods noted above, he/she must re-enrol and pay full course fee.

Fee for Service (non-subsidised) price:

$1750.00 – BSB40120 Certificate IV in Business (Release 1)

The above listed course fee includes Enrolment Fee (non-refundable): $250; Resource Fee (non-refundable): $250; Tuition Fee: $1250

Payment plan: $1000.00 deposit at enrolment, $750 within one month from enrolment date.

Eligible South Australian (subsidised) price: $250.00

Pathways

Learning Pathways:
Upon successfully completing BSB40120 Certificate IV in Business qualification you can pursue BSB50420 Diploma of Leadership and Management with TDT Training Australia or any other AQF Level 5 qualification from any other training provider.
