FAQ

What can I drive with a HC Licence?
Heavy combination trucks include prime movers with a single semi-trailer attached that has a gross vehicle mass exceeding 9 tonnes plus any unladen converter dolly, or a rigid motor vehicle to which is attached a trailer that has a GVM more than 9 tonnes plus any unladen converter dolly. At TDT, we offer training and testing in Melbourne and beyond.
Where is the HC licence course held?
Our HC licence courses can be completed from a number of locations including Hallam, Bendigo, Sale, Sunshine and Ballarat. We have a comprehensive fleet to ensure that students can learn while operating the best vehicles. All courses are run by experienced instructors who have industry insight and first-hand experience.
What’s the difference between HR and HC Licence?

Anyone with a HR license can drive trucks and buses over 8 tonne GVM with three or more axles and a maximum towing weight of 9 tonnes. A HC license means you can operate heavy articulated vehicles with a truck and trailer over 9 tonne or a semi-trailer with one trailer.
