2 Day Forklift Licence in Victoria

Licenced Course that certifies you to drive any size forklift 16 hours from $495

Hallam, Bendigo, Sale, Ballarat and Sunshine

Objectives:

  • To operate all types of forklifts safely and effectively.
  • To pass the Victorian Worksafe Authority assessment.

Entry Requirements:

Must be minimum 18 years of age and have photo I.D. that includes name, signature and date of birth & secondary ID.

Duration:

Delivered and assessed over 2 full days

Validity of Forklift Licence: 

Licenses are valid for 5 years in Victoria. You will be required to renew it after this time or will need to retake the test.

Forklift Licence Fee: $495

The course is delivered across all TDT Sites (Hallam, Bendigo, Sale, Sunshine and Ballarat)

Our Forklift License course is designed in accordance with the National Assessment Criteria. We ensure that our training program abides by all relevant rules and regulations, offering a consistent and compliant learning experience across the board.

Course Content:

Theory & Practical Training within our warehouse, WorkSafe assessment on completion of course.

Theory: A Forklift Course learner guide is provided upon booking which must be read in order to successfully complete the written theory and calculations assessments.

*Verbal test available at an extra cost

Practical: Pre-Operational checks of forklift and working area, negotiating hazards, shifting loads, placing loads in and out of racking, loading & unloading trucks and shut down procedures.

Resources: Gas & Electric powered, automatic counterbalance forklifts. Reach Truck also available.

Assessment: Victorian Worksafe Authority Assessment

Note: Onsite training & testing is available upon request. Minimum numbers and WorkSafe criteria apply.

Essentials to Bring Along:

Please remember to bring the following with you on the training day:

  • A valid form of identification (e.g., driver’s license)
  • Appropriate clothing for practical training (closed-toe footwear, long pants)

The Outcome:

Upon successful completion, you’ll be awarded a Statement of Attainment and a Notice of Assessment. These documents enable you to apply for your WorkSafe Forklift License in Victoria.

Transport Driver Training (TDT) offers forklift license courses in Victoria from $495. Our full course goes for 2 days and equates to a total of 16 hours. We provide a high level of teaching and support to all students so you can get the certification that you need.

How long does a forklift licence last in Victoria?

A Victorian forklift license will remain valid for 5 years (after which a renewal to worksafe will need to be paid). At Transport Driver Training (TDT), we will teach you the skills needed to safely and efficiently operate a forklift. We offer forklift courses at affordable prices and we can also help if you’re looking for additional training or refresher training.

Why is it a 2-day course?

Unlike other training centres, we do not grant a 1 day forklift licence.

Our courses are run over two days so that we can teach all of the necessary skills to students. You can expect a combination of theory and practical learning, along with assessments that test your ability to safely operate a forklift.

Who is this course designed for?

The forklift training courses that we run are designed for both beginners and operators with years of experience. With a certification from us, you will be able to find work across a range of different sites including warehouses, factories and storage facilities. You can also undergo this training to get a high reach forklift licence.

My licence has expired? Do I need to do the whole course?

If your license has expired and you require a forklift licence renewal, please check with WorkSafe Victoria prior. If Worksafe does not renew your licence you will have to sit a complete 2 day course again to re-obtain your licence.
